Odds and Ends

Another classic TV star is gone. Don Adams (aka Maxwell Smart) has passed away at age 82. "Get Smart" was a great spy comedy show I enjoyed watching as I grew up. Barbara Feldon was beautifully perfect as Agent 99. A great loss to the entertainment world.....Another passing was Tommy Bond, Butch on the "Little Rascals". There aren't many rascals left. Out of the main characters, only Porky still remains alive. He resides in either Minnesota or Florida....Had the pleasure of meeting Jerry Maren last Saturday. Jerry was one of the "Lollypop" kids from the "Wizard of Oz". He is 87 years old and still makes around 120 appearances around the country each year....

Goodbye Gilligan

Bob Denver, TV's Gilligan from "Gilligan's Island, has passed away at the young age of 70. Denver gained fame early as the hippy student Maynard on the classic show "The Many Lives of Dobie Gillis". But he will always and forever be remembered as the loyal, loveable Gilligan. With his passing, that leaves only three castaways left including the movie star (Tina Louise), the Proffessor (Russell Johnson) and MaryAnn (Dawn Wells). Do you know Gilligan had a first name? It was Willie.
If you would like to honor Bob's memory, in lieu of flowers or gifts, the family suggests that donations be made to The Denver Foundation, whose mission is to help the handicapped in Bob's home stae of West Virginia.
Your gift may be sent to:
